LAINEY HALE

PRESIDENT

I am a senior Graphic Design major from Hamilton, Texas! I love ACU & I love Siggies! My favorite part about our club is having a community of girls to cheer each other on through so many things! I have been encouraged to lead in ways I never would have seen myself fit to do (aka this position!), but because of the incredible group of women I am surrounded by, here we are! I love witnessing the transformation of women becoming more confident in their identity in Christ as they walk with one another through college. This unique time of our lives can be weird and confusing, but having a community to do it with you makes all the difference!

GENTRY LAMBERTH

VICE PRESIDENT

I have loved this club from day one, and each year it only gets better! The women of Sigma Theta Chi continue to show endless love, joy, and fun, and I am so grateful to get to represent them! There is never a dull moment when I am with these girls and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Siggies remind me of the unconditional love and joy of Christ! I have never met a more welcoming and weird group of people! Siggies welcomed me and made me feel loved from my first rush, and now I get to return the favor! I feel so excited to get to walk alongside this club to lead and be led by them.

LEXIE HUGHES

BIG SIG

If I could describe Siggies in one word, I would use the word light. I have grown so much in college, and Siggies have fostered much of that growth. They have pushed me, encouraged me, and called me out when I needed it most. The Lord has so evidently used them to impact me, and they have been instrumental in making me the woman I am today. From the moment I got into club, I knew I hoped to be Big Sig one day. The light that I see in Siggies is not their own but Christ shining through them. In this position, I have always hoped that the Lord would fill me up with that same light so that rushees, new members, and even the current women in club would be reminded of the sweet Lord we serve together, even during something as silly as NMO.

LEIGHTON ALFORD

TREASURER

I am a junior Accounting and Finance major. I was born and raised right here in Abilene so I was able to grow up listening to girls talk about how much they loved Siggies and I just always knew I wanted to be a part of such a special group of girls. Siggies has truly impacted my life in ways that I do not have words for. I am constantly surrounded by girls whose love for Christ shows in the way that they treat others. They are constantly loving on me and pushing me to be the best that I can be and I am honored to be a small part of such a special group of girls. I am so excited this new year to be able to lead this club and continue to give the current members and future members the same experience that I have been so blessed to be a part of.

CAMBELL HASSELL

SECRETARY

I am a junior Special Education major from Keller, Texas! I was instantly drawn to Siggies because of the way that they pursue both The Lord and his people. Siggies love others fiercely and seek to make them feel known and cherished. Through my time in club I have experienced some of the most loving, comforting, and encouraging friendships and I truly couldn’t imagine my life without them. As secretary I get to create newsletters that celebrate others as well as keep things organized! I have been poured into greatly by the women in this club and I am humbled and honored to be able to serve them in return!

ABBEY BAKER

CHAPLAIN

I am a finance and marketing major from Houston, Texas who loves all things outdoors, happy colors, and people! Getting to know the bright, unique, and fun personalities of all the girls in Siggies in a genuine way is my favorite part of this club! Y’all constantly challenge me to grow more and love deeply in this community and I’m so thankful for that!! I want to share with y’all a verse that’s been super close to my heart for as long as I can remember! It says that Jesus, “placed his right hand on me and said ‘do not be afraid I am the Living One. I was dead and now look! I am alive forever and ever.’” (Rev 1:18) I love how close we can feel to Jesus in this section and the peace of knowing his hand is on you!!

I am so so excited to spend intentional time with all of you and get to see how God will use each one of us!!

ALAYNE DENTON

INTRAMURAL DIRECTOR

I am a junior communications major from Temple, Texas. ACU has always been a part of me, my whole family attended this sweet school. I love siggies with my whole entire heart - sweet little moments to share… My mom and aunt were also siggies and getting to share this club with them has been the most special thing for me. Lucky for my mom, I’m her only daughter! I am so excited to be the team mom and cheer on all of our sporty siggies. I never expected to be completely embraced by a club the way that siggies immediately took me in, from the beginning siggies showed me more and pushed me to grow and be confident in always being myself.

SAMANTHA GERBER

HISTORIAN

I’m a junior graphic design major and I rushed this last year! I immediately fell in love with Siggies because of their energetic, fun, and welcoming atmosphere. I knew I belonged here when I realized I didn’t have to make myself small around these girls. They celebrate each other and this club so well and I’m so thankful to be a part of it!!!!

I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember, and being able to use what I love to contribute to this club has been an amazing honor. Whether it’s a talent show club or our formal, documenting this club's crazy and loving girls is such a joy!!!!

MARYCATE LOSHER

KEEPER OF THE KEY

I'm in charge of engagements and homecoming. I'm a junior psychology major from Dallas! I'm so so excited to be on the officer team this year. Some random facts about me are that I love art and reading, my go to karaoke song is Ice Ice Baby, and I can do a great Gingy from Shrek impression. To me, siggies is where the girls that were always told they’re “being too much” can thrive. It’s also where the girls that are afraid to speak up in class can get out of their comfort zone and allow themselves to be insane.  I love it here so much and I can’t wait to see what this year has in store!

KATE BAIRD

RUSH DIRECTOR

Siggies has been a place where I’ve felt welcomed and chosen and where I’ve met some of my very best friends! It is also a place that pushes me to the cross and reminds me of my identity in Christ daily. I am so so so excited to get an opportunity to serve this club just like all of the girls in it have served me so well. I’m also so pumped to get to plan rushes and tailgates and make all of the new rushees feel so loved and welcomed whether they choose Siggies or not! And of course excited to do all of the cute sparkly decorating things!!

CHANEY ANDERSON

SOCIAL DIRECTOR

I love planning events and I feel so blessed to be in this position for our sweet club. I am a junior marketing major with a communications minor from Lubbock, Texas. Siggies is a group of fun and sweet girls so I was instantly drawn to them! They put Christ first and it is very evident in everything they do. I chose Siggies because they are so welcoming and always have a smile on their face! The girls in this club make me a better person every day. I’ve had some very near and dear family members before me (my mom and sister in law to name a few) that were Siggies and it has been so fun continuing the tradition!

EVAN ARMSTRONG

DESIGN DIRECTOR

I am blessed with the opportunity to design merch for siggies and be creative with new ideas for this club! I am a junior nursing major from right here in Abilene, and I am in love with this club and the awesome girls in it. I’ve always known I’ve wanted to be a siggie, and I have made some pretty amazing lifelong friendships from being here! I have laughed til I peed, cried on a shoulder, danced like I have an ounce of good moves, and felt the love of Jesus from a friend ALL from siggies. A verse I love and want to lean on this year is 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” I am so excited for this year, I know it’ll be one to always remember.
